About Mark
Mark is a fully trained electrician, but what does that involve. City and Guilds Level 3 certificate in the requirements for electrical installations (BS7671) is the first basic qualification, and involves understanding the 18th edition IET regulations Next comes the City and Guilds certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of electrical installation (2391), this qualification, is much more difficult to achieve and involves understanding how the regulations actually apply to the electrics in your home. On top of that, for any work undertaken in a domestic property, you have to be qualified in Part P of the building regulations. This involves being registered with and assessed every year with by registered body such as NAPIT (it could also be NICEIC). This allows Mark to self-certify that his work also meets Part P of the building regulations.
